COLLEGE!!! I'm soooo sorry to have not updated earlier.. you must understand, however, that I've been terribly preoccupied w/ my excitement about coming back!! Yes that's right! I'm very glad to report i've made it through the summer!!! wahoo for me!!!! if youve forgotten, i was home this summer - homesick. .hahahahahaha get it? cause i was sick of home!?!?! I must admit i will serously miss both the beach and Snicker Doodle, of course, but all in all - i am THRILLED to be back! I wanna scream it form the rooftops for all to hear!! the good is I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my room. it's perfect. I couldn't imagne a more perfect room (except maybe the view of virgin's walk - but alas, I cannot have it all ) Martel will have to suffice. It's not bad though bc when I'm in my perfectly positioned be all i see are the clouds and tree tops. Quite conducive to dreaming if I may say so myslef! the bad is a. my watch needs a new battery and b. there r just two people in one of my classes. I don't know what will happen if they cancel or if there will be just two people. but when there are just to people, ur not only expected to attend, but to talk and look alert an stuff. oy.

well my dears, I'm in Canada!! I have a small bit of time so I decided to report a bunch of new and exciting things to u:

for starters, ull be surprised to learn that in Canada, the drawbridges go UP!!! I mean, insead of there being two parts that open in the middle, just the whole road lifts way up high!! it is indeed a sight to be seen!!! as an added bonues, if you sleep with the man on the top who pushes the buttons, u get to go up too!!  (well, i kinda just made that part up but we gotta assume it's true.)  I really wanna do it!!

also, on all the things, the writing is in english and french. Im sure some or most of u already know that, but if ur from fla, ur used to everything being written in Espanol b/c of the Cubans.. not Frances because of the French!!! whoa! so it is quite the site!!

also, it is the 65TH BIRTHDAY OF THE CANADDIAN HEARING ASSOCIATION!!! well, hapy bday canadian hearing assocaion. (as a side note, one of the new kiddies i have has the same exact bday as good ol' Mr. Snicks: 9/9/98... (i always secretly wished it was 99 so it would be all nines.. but alas, no such luck. Now, however, i am ver ypleased with his bday because I know a little girl who shares his astrology!!! I cannot wait to tell him!!!

another unique an exciting fact about life in Canada is that the traffic lights flash greeen when ur allowed to go but the other side is not.. i think it's cool that they flash. also, it's not too too unbearably frigid in canada. Also, i have the strongest yearning to see the sisterhood of the travelling pants!!! (please  DO NOT let the title sway u away - in my humble opinion, it maybe be e next best thing to Garden State (more on this to come after i see it.)

well my friends, the time has come.  I'm going to Canada.  I'll be there for a loooooooooooooooooooong time. It will seem like an even longer time cause I'll be there with my parents. WOE IS ME!! This is really really bad news. Fortunately, there is really really good news!!! My sources tell me there is an ANYTOWN COMING MY WAY!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh!!! omg im super psyched!!! I wanna go.. .it's been way too long and I miss it terribly. Now I might be an advisor instead of a counselor (which isn't as much fun, just so u know cause it's like more administrative stuff and less with the delegates but it would still be awesome.. it would be the best part of my year I think.. the best part of my two years maybe.. whoa. (that's not sad and pathetic, it just goes to show how wonderful and perfect camp is) I think me and the girl at Jones and the boy who I met at Martel should make our own camp at Rice and it would be super spectacular. Except the boy wasn't too excited when I met him.. I don't undersant that. We could get togther and sing Metrotown songs and tell people to be nice to each other and fun things like that.  The NCCJ gave out pencils once that said "erase the hate" and it was funny cause the eraser always fell out.. haha (probably cause it was busy erasing the hate)

more news: it is confirmed. I'm terribly sorry i didn't tell y'all earlier, but I have found myself a family!! Yippee!!! (actually i found myslef two families, replete with babies and youngons galore!!!) Yes, u heard correct!!! I get to swim in the pool and swing on swings and sing songs with little kiddies and I get paid the big bucks for it. Life is grand.

ladies and gents - - I have news: today I killed a bird. Yes, that's right. Ur nice/kind/sweet/animal loving Rachel killed a bird. (it was an acciednet. I'll tell u how it went: I was driving in the car minding my own business, and a bird who was sitting decided to get up and fly into my winshield!!! I screamed "Hark, alark, a bird is in the park" (I didn't realty scream that, i just wanted to say it.. but I did scream, of course.  Luckily, the bird didn't make a mess on my windshield, but he left my mind in a great deal of psychological turmoil, so i pulled over to regain my composure and look at the bird. He was dead. In the road. I hope I dont go to hell and I don't u think Im cruel and I hope u didn't expcet me to go take it out of the road so it wouldn't get run over again. I didn't really wanna touch a dead bird. Plus, i kinda blame him. He flew right into my car, I tried to swerve but to no avail. In any case, now u know the truth. (Once Snicker Doodle killedd a baby duckling (accidentally, of course) and so now I feel like this brings us closer since we're both bird killers and all. (that's the bright side of killing a bird)

in other news, today I made a feeble attempt to betray my haircutter of 16 years.  I needed a haircut, but u see, the last time I went to her it was when I donated my hair and I told her if it wasn't long enough i would wait, but she assured me it would be past my shoulders. It wasn't.  It wasn't anywhere near my shoulders.  I was livid and declared I would never trust her again. So being the clever one that I am, i decided to go on her off day and have someone else cut my hair.. But Becky was there!!! And Becky was busy!! So i couldn't tell her I was planning on being unfaithful, so I sat and waited for her and pretended to be happy. :( (luckily, it turned out ok, but still.. )

all in all, this is shaping up to be a pretty sorry day indeed.  how could this happen to me??? (that's a song.. simple plan.. I like it)
